International Design and
Consultancy Service
gartenART have become established as the leading and most
innovative UK company in the design and construction of natural
swimming pools and swimming ponds, and have recently extended our design service
worldwide.
We now
provide a global Design and Consultancy Service which enables
you to build your own natural swimming pool whether you are in the
UK or USA,
France or Canada, Australia, South Africa, Spain, or New Zealand… in
fact anywhere in the world.
How
does this work?
Whether we
are creating a natural swimming pool next door, or on the other
side of the world, there are always three stages in building a
gartenART natural pool:
1. Design
Consultation
2. Design and
Technical Specifications
3. Construction
With your help, we are able to carry out this process remotely
because of our extensive experience in designing and building
natural swimming pools, coupled with the advances in
communication technology available today. The internet
with its countless tools enables us to get to know your site
remotely, understand your vision and communicate it back to you,
develop an appropriate design, and ensure the construction
proceeds to plan.
For more
information on how this can work in your region please call us

1.
Design Consultation
The first crucial step for all
successful designs is to get to know what you are really looking
for - what are your preferences and your style, what are your
likes and dislikes.
The purpose
of a Design Consultation is for us to understand this very
clearly and also to understand the requirements of the site -
the location, climate, and the specific local circumstances and
conditions.
We will email
you an extensive Design Questionnaire which we ask you to fill
in and return to us.
After getting
this information we will study it and arrange to talk with you
on the phone to clarify our understanding of your vision and
requirements, of the site conditions and the environment, and to
explore together the possibilities, potential and options.
We will then
send you a Design Consultation Report which will outline the
content and conclusions of your questionnaire and our phone
conversation, and provide a more accurate estimate of the costs
and options involved with your project. This report forms
the basis for proceeding with the Design stage.
The fee for a
remote Design Consultation is approx US$450 at current exchange
rates.
2.
Design and Technical Specifications
The Design stage
involves the production of 2D and 3D designs and technical
specifications, as well as more accurate estimates of costs, which
all form the basis for the Construction stage.
First we will produce a
concept 2D design and communicate with you by email and
phone to finalise this so that you are happy to proceed.
Please see examples here.
We next create a 3D
computer model, which we will email as a video walk-through which you can
easily play on your computer. Please see
examples here. At this stage we will also give you a
more accurate estimate of the construction costs involved.
The 3D model is an integral part of our design process as it
enables you to see your vision as virtual reality,
looking from different angles and perspectives to get a
real sense of the final result. The 3D model also helps
your construction team get a very
clear vision of what they are building.
Finally we
produce all the detailed design documentation and specifications
which will be used by your construction team in
building your natural pool to our specific requirements.
Please see examples here.
We can
explain more about the Design and Construction stages during the
Design Consultation.
3.
Construction Stage
During the
construction stage we will always be in touch with you and/or
the local contractors to ensure that everything is progressing
as planned. We will ask for photos of the site and will
communicate regularly by phone and email.
In some
locations we may also
be able to use our contacts to instruct a
local contractor ourselves, and if you wish manage the whole process without your involvement.
