Natural pond designs

Natural pond designs work particularly well in countryside settings, where the pond becomes a seamless part of the natural environment.

These swimming ponds are often designed to look as natural as possible, with the effect that they integrate perfectly into the garden and the surrounding countryside, bringing everything together visually.

Natural pond designs have freeform outlines with planted edges and a central swimming area.  We usually incorporate stone or timber features, such as jumping rocks, steps, ladders, or decking.

For examples of the many naturally designed ponds we have built please click on the thumbnail images.  More detailed case studies are also available in the Downloads and News & Blog sections.

“I wanted to be able to sit and look out from the garden and see nothing unnatural.  I wanted the pond to be part of a view that flowed seamlessly from the garden to the countryside beyond.

"I love the natural beauty of it, the way it grows and becomes part of the garden."

-- Sacha Cole, Harpenden, Herts
